A-VIR®PLUS drops are an organic dietary supplement, made from carefully selected extracts of five medicinal mushrooms:
Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi), Cordyceps (Caterpillar Fungus), Lentinula edodes (Shiitake), Hericium erinaceus (Lion’s Mane) and Inonotus obliquus (Chaga).
These mushrooms have a long history of traditional use and contain bioactive compounds that have been the subject of scientific research.
The product reflects the long-standing expertise of the Slovenian company MycoMedica d.o.o. in cultivating mushrooms and naturally processing dietary supplements from medicinal fungi.
The drops are designed for anyone who wishes to enrich their diet with natural ingredients traditionally used for centuries across various cultures.
For the preparation, we use an innovative water–ethanol extraction process that enables the extraction
of both water- and alcohol-soluble compounds from mushrooms, including polysaccharides, triterpenes,
sterols, and other bioactive complexes.
The process involves both cold and hot water extraction as well as ethanol extraction, carried out in
a carefully designed sequence of steps, allowing for the extraction of a wide range of components, including
sensitive and thermolabile compounds.
After extraction, the alcohol is completely removed from the product, and the final extract is stabilized with
organically produced plant glycerol.
Glycerol enhances the stability of the drops and supports the bioavailability of the active compounds.
A-VIR®PLUS drops are free from alcohol, gluten, heavy metals, and GMOs, and are also suitable for vegans.

Ganoderma lucidum, also known as the “Mushroom of Immortality“, is one of the oldest
documented msuhrooms in traditional Chinese medicine. It is valued for its rich content of numerous
bioactive substances (over 400), including polysaccharides and triterpenes, fatty acid sterols, and
proteins, and has long been regarded as a symbol of vitality and longevity in Eastern cultures.
Cordyceps is a genus of rare mushroom naturally found in remote Asian highlands. Tibetan herders
have traditionally used it for centuries as a tonic to support stamina and resistance.
Wild-harvested Cordyceps is highly prized and can reach prices of up to €50,000 per kilogram.
It contains cordycepin, adenosine, and many other active compounds that are currently the subject
of scientific research, particularly in areas related to energy metabolism and physical performance.
Shiitake mushrooms are highly appreciated and popular in the culinary world for their
delicious and mild flavor. In Japan and China, they have been valued in traditional medicine
for centuries as the “Elixir of Life”.
They contain beta-glucans (e.g. lentinan), erythadenine, and other compounds that have been
the subject of extensive scientific research in the areas of metabolism and immune function.
Hericium is one of the most recognizable medicinal mushrooms, thanks to its distinctive shape
and complex composition. It contains polysaccharides (beta-glucans), erinacins, hericenones, and
numerous other micronutrients.
In traditional use, it has been associated with maintaining mental clarity and supporting digestive health.
This parasitic fungus, which grows mainly on birch trees, is rich in antioxidants and polyphenols.
In Siberia, Finland, and the Baltic countries, Chaga has been prepared for centuries as a tea or decoction.

Products in powdered form made from medicinal mushrooms differ from extracts primarily in their method of preparation and consequently in their composition. Each form has its own advantages.
At MycoMedica d.o.o., mushroom powder is obtained using low-temperature drying in order to preserve as broad a spectrum of bioactive compounds as possible, including those that are more heat-sensitive or insoluble, which could otherwise be lost or altered during the extraction process.
The powdered products therefore contain a highly comprehensively preserved mushroom biomass. In general, the body needs to invest more energy in the breakdown and absorption of powders; however, this form retains a broader spectrum of naturally occurring constituents.
Extracts are obtained from fresh mushroom material, as it contains protein and enzyme components that can be efficiently extracted using a suitably optimised process.
The process includes cold and hot water extraction as well as ethanol extraction across a wide concentration range. Through percolation – a process in which the solvent passes in a controlled and gradual manner through the mushroom material – we ensure an optimal extraction of a broad spectrum of naturally occurring water- and alcohol-soluble compounds from the biomass.
Through water extraction, water-soluble compounds are extracted from the mushroom cells, while ethanol extraction yields alcohol-soluble compounds. The extract is then concentrated at low temperatures and under reduced pressure, which reduces the risk of changes in thermolabile components.
Our innovative extraction process ensures a high-quality extract with a well-balanced profile of active compounds.
Allergic reactions to mushroom-based preparations are rare. With long-term use of higher doses, more sensitive individuals may occasionally experience a mild skin reaction, such as itching, which usually resolves upon discontinuation of use or a reduction in dosage.
In principle, there are no known contraindications in such cases. In any case, it is not advisable to take several food supplements at the same time, as this puts too much strain on the organism and may cause nausea. We suggest that you always take a break of at least two hours between taking two food supplements. We advise against taking vitamin C in addition to medicinal mushroom products.
It is recommended to consume medicinal mushroom preparations for about three weeks twice a year. Longer periods of use are recommended for more prolonged problems, but with short breaks of a few days, which should be prolonged as the problem begins to subside. The purpose of medicinal mushroom preparations is not to be taken continuously but only as a kind of support.
In principle, medicinal mushroom products are not sensitive to sunlight. It is more important to keep them in a cool, dry place. A dark bottle definitely helps to preserve the quality of the products.
