A-VIR® drops are prepared using a multi-phase water–ethanol extraction of bioactive compounds from organically
cultivated biomass of fresh medicinal mushrooms.
The process includes both cold and hot water extraction, as well as ethanol extraction at different concentration
ranges, allowing the extraction of both
water-soluble and alcohol-soluble compounds. These include polysaccharides, triterpenes, sterols, and other naturally
occurring bioactive constituents of the fungal matrix.
With water extraction, primarily water-soluble compounds such as polysaccharides are obtained, while the ethanol
phase enables the extraction of lipophilic compounds such as triterpenes and sterols.
Through a percolation process, in which the solvent is continuously and controlled passed through the fungal
material, a broad spectrum of naturally occurring compounds from different mushroom species in
the formulation is extracted.
To reduce the potential degradation of thermolabile compounds, the extract is concentrated at low temperatures
and reduced pressure.
The final product is a stable, concentrated solution in organic ethanol, which contributes to product stability.
The concentrated extract is obtained from fresh, non-dried medicinal mushrooms. Fresh fungal biomass also contains enzymes and proteins, which are transferred into the extract
through carefully designed processing steps.

In principle, medicinal mushroom products are not sensitive to sunlight. It is more important to keep them in a cool, dry place. A dark bottle definitely helps to preserve the quality of the products.
It is recommended to consume medicinal mushroom preparations for about three weeks twice a year. Longer periods of use are recommended for more prolonged problems, but with short breaks of a few days, which should be prolonged as the problem begins to subside. The purpose of medicinal mushroom preparations is not to be taken continuously but only as a kind of support.
Such cases are extremely rare. However, with prolonged use of high doses, slight itching may occur, which may disappear when the dose is stopped or reduced.
