Daisy je stara okrog 13 let, njena lastnica sem zadnjih 5 let. Sredi decembra je začela s kuro jemanja gob, eno kapsulo na dan. Razlog je bil s selitvijo povezan stres in občutljivost v predelu dlesni.
Upala sem predvsem na splošno podporo organizmu, česa takega pa res nisem pričakovala! Daisy je namreč celo bolj poskočna in razigrana kot v svojem najbolj živahnem obdobju pred leti. Ni več le opazovalka igre dvoletne mačje cimre, ampak je pogosto kar ona pobudnica, poleg tega se igra tudi sama. Prej je bila predvsem pri tleh, za premik na posteljo ji je prav prišla pomoč v obliki pručke, zdaj pa je izvedla celo nekaj drznih skokov. Mogoče pa osvoji celo tamali mački namenjeno plezalno steno.
Če bo zaradi vse te akcije izgubila kakšen gram (tehta 5 kg), smo pa zmagali na celi črti! 🙂

Most types of medicinal mushrooms on the market have been tested extensively on a wide variety of animal species and in most cases they prove to be extremely effective in boosting the immune system, treating allergies and skin conditions of “unknown” cause, viral and bacterial infections and so on. To date, we have not seen any information that medicinal mushroom food supplements could harm animals in any way, but we know of many cases where they have been used to treat a wide range of conditions in animals, including chronic diseases.
In principle, there are no known contraindications in such cases. In any case, it is not advisable to take several food supplements at the same time, as this puts too much strain on the organism and may cause nausea. We suggest that you always take a break of at least two hours between taking two food supplements. We advise against taking vitamin C in addition to medicinal mushroom products.
Mushrooms are hepatoprotective, meaning that they promote liver repair and detoxification, not the other way around. It is true, however, that they affect liver enzymes – positively, of course.
In principle, the body has to expend more energy in breaking down and absorbing powders than in breaking down and absorbing extracts, but powders clearly have a broader spectrum of activity. This is because during extraction many substances are destroyed by cooking and drying, and many active substances are discarded (all of which are not water-soluble and not ethanol-soluble – in the case of ethanol extraction). During extraction, the material is heated and thermally destroyed, and more than 80% of the substances that also have a beneficial effect on the body are discarded. One of these substances is fungal fibre, which binds toxins, heavy metals and radioactive elements in the gastrointestinal tract, thus detoxifying. At the same time, fibre supports the development of beneficial micro-organisms in the gastrointestinal tract.
After two months or less of taking mushrooms, it is advisable to take a break if possible – unless the problem is chronic, where a break should be carefully planned because of the potential for a relapse. If you are using them preventively, two courses of at least one month each year are recommended.
