Daisy je stara okrog 13 let, njena lastnica sem zadnjih 5 let. Sredi decembra je začela s kuro jemanja gob, eno kapsulo na dan. Razlog je bil s selitvijo povezan stres in občutljivost v predelu dlesni.
Upala sem predvsem na splošno podporo organizmu, česa takega pa res nisem pričakovala! Daisy je namreč celo bolj poskočna in razigrana kot v svojem najbolj živahnem obdobju pred leti. Ni več le opazovalka igre dvoletne mačje cimre, ampak je pogosto kar ona pobudnica, poleg tega se igra tudi sama. Prej je bila predvsem pri tleh, za premik na posteljo ji je prav prišla pomoč v obliki pručke, zdaj pa je izvedla celo nekaj drznih skokov. Mogoče pa osvoji celo tamali mački namenjeno plezalno steno.
Če bo zaradi vse te akcije izgubila kakšen gram (tehta 5 kg), smo pa zmagali na celi črti! 🙂

Dietary supplements made from medicinal mushrooms are increasingly being used in animal nutrition as a complement to a balanced and varied diet.
Numerous modern scientific studies and clinical trials investigate the activity of bioactive compounds from medicinal mushrooms, their characteristics, and their influence on physiological balance in the organism.
When used in animals, it is most important to follow the recommended dosages of each product and take into account the animal’s overall health status.
In principle, there are no known contraindications in such cases. In any case, it is not advisable to take several food supplements at the same time, as this puts too much strain on the organism and may cause nausea. We suggest that you always take a break of at least two hours between taking two food supplements. We advise against taking vitamin C in addition to medicinal mushroom products.
Medicinal mushrooms have traditionally been used as part of complementary nutritional support in human and animal diets. Bioactive compounds in mushrooms are the subject of numerous scientific studies and traditional use,
where various aspects of their activity in the organism are being explored, including metabolic processes.
Since your dog has previously shown elevated liver enzyme levels, we recommend regular monitoring of laboratory values in cooperation with a veterinarian who is familiar with her medical history.
Products in powdered form made from medicinal mushrooms differ from extracts primarily in their method of preparation and consequently in their composition. Each form has its own advantages.
At MycoMedica d.o.o., mushroom powder is obtained using low-temperature drying in order to preserve as broad a spectrum of bioactive compounds as possible, including those that are more heat-sensitive or insoluble, which could otherwise be lost or altered during the extraction process.
The powdered products therefore contain a highly comprehensively preserved mushroom biomass. In general, the body needs to invest more energy in the breakdown and absorption of powders; however, this form retains a broader spectrum of naturally occurring constituents.
Extracts are obtained from fresh mushroom material, as it contains protein and enzyme components that can be efficiently extracted using a suitably optimised process.
The process includes cold and hot water extraction as well as ethanol extraction across a wide concentration range. Through percolation – a process in which the solvent passes in a controlled and gradual manner through the mushroom material – we ensure an optimal extraction of a broad spectrum of naturally occurring water- and alcohol-soluble compounds from the biomass.
Through water extraction, water-soluble compounds are extracted from the mushroom cells, while ethanol extraction yields alcohol-soluble compounds. The extract is then concentrated at low temperatures and under reduced pressure, which reduces the risk of changes in thermolabile components.

After two months or less of taking mushrooms, it is advisable to take a break if possible – unless the problem is chronic, where a break should be carefully planned because of the potential for a relapse.
