Hericium erinaceus or lion’s mane is a medicinal mushroom with a distinctive fringed shape, for which it has also been
called white beard, monkey’s head….. Its rich umami flavour and meaty texture make it an excellent culinary delicacy,
and it is also valued in traditional East Asian medicine, especially by those who place emphasis on mental focus, sharp thinking,
and a balanced approach to nutrition.

In nature it can be found on dead hardwood logs in Europe, Asia and North America. Today, due to its valuable properties
it is cultivated under controlled conditions in specialized growing fascilities. It contains active ingredients such
as polysaccharides, phytosterols, polypeptides, terpenes, essential and trace elements. Among edible fungi, it
is considered one of the best plant sources of protein.

Pozdravljeni, pišem vam v zvezi z mojo boleznijo multipla skleroza (progresivno napredujoča) in izkušnjo z vašimi zdravilnimi gobami (resasti bradač) ter mojim počutjem nasploh. Iskrica prisotnosti se je vrnila v njene oči

V družini smo se uradno srečali z demenco, ko so nam zdravniki povedali, da jo ima naša babica Olga. Kaj več pa nam o tem niso znali povedati ali svetovati. Dobili smo osnovne usmeritve in to je bilo z njihove strani vse.

Izkušnja z resastim bradovcem

Kot sem obljubila, vam pišem. Po priporočilu prijateljice sem lani avgusta pričela z jemanjem kapsul Resastega bradovca. Do poškodbe je sicer prišlo že meseca maja. Padla sem na pločniku, si zlomila ramo, čez nekaj dni se je pojavil megleni vid. Pristala sem v bolnici, kjer so ugotovili edem na obeh očesih, do enega je baje prišlo že prej, pa nisem opazila. Edem je povzročil nepovratno atrofijo vidnih živcev na obeh očesih. V avgustu se mi je vid še poslabšal – na 16%. In pojavila se je pajčevinasta smet v vidnem polju na desnem očesu. To je nastalo zaradi napake v delitvi steklovine. Dva zdravnika sta mi rekla, da je to dokončno in da ne bo izginilo. Da se bom pač morala navaditi. Ko se bom navadila, me to ne bo več motilo.

Ves čas sem bila deležna različnih medicinskih obravnav in terapij, ki so potekale po načrtu specialistov, ki so spremljali moje stanje. Poleg tega sem se morala navaditi na spremembe v svojem življenjskem slogu.

Na kontrolnih pregledih so zdravniki spremljali stanje vida in potek sprememb v primerjavi s prejšnjimi obravnavami.

Sama še vedno opažam, da je moj vid spremenjen in da je stanje nihajoče, vendar mi vsak napredek, ne glede na njegovo velikost, veliko pomeni.

Zdravljenje nadaljujem v okviru zdravniških priporočil, prehranska dopolnila pa uporabljam kot del svoje osebne rutine.

Is it true that products made from mushroom powders are less effective than extracts from the same mushrooms because they are not absorbed by the body?

In principle, the body has to expend more energy in breaking down and absorbing powders than in breaking down and absorbing extracts, but powders clearly have a broader spectrum of activity. This is because during extraction many substances are destroyed by cooking and drying, and many active substances are discarded (all of which are not water-soluble and not ethanol-soluble – in the case of ethanol extraction). During extraction, the material is heated and thermally destroyed, and more than 80% of the substances that also have a beneficial effect on the body are discarded. One of these substances is fungal fibre, which binds toxins, heavy metals and radioactive elements in the gastrointestinal tract, thus detoxifying. At the same time, fibre supports the development of beneficial micro-organisms in the gastrointestinal tract.

Can mushroom preparations really cause allergies?

Such cases are extremely rare. However, with prolonged use of high doses, slight itching may occur, which may disappear when the dose is stopped or reduced.

Can the concomitant use of medicinal mushrooms and other food supplements lead to contraindications?

In principle, there are no known contraindications in such cases. In any case, it is not advisable to take several food supplements at the same time, as this puts too much strain on the organism and may cause nausea. We suggest that you always take a break of at least two hours between taking two food supplements. We advise against taking vitamin C in addition to medicinal mushroom products.

Can I consume medicinal mushroom preparations all the time?

It is recommended to consume medicinal mushroom preparations for about three weeks twice a year. Longer periods of use are recommended for more prolonged problems, but with short breaks of a few days, which should be prolonged as the problem begins to subside. The purpose of medicinal mushroom preparations is not to be taken continuously but only as a kind of support.

Do your medicinal mushroom products need to be stored in a dark place? Your sales items are in dark bottles – is this necessary to maintain quality?

In principle, medicinal mushroom products are not sensitive to sunlight. It is more important to keep them in a cool, dry place. A dark bottle definitely helps to preserve the quality of the products.
